COVID-19 UPDATE FUTURE GET SMART TUITION LESSONS (Click Here To Read)

Dear Parent

Hope you are coping well under the strain of UK Public Health restrictions as the intensity of Covid-19 increases. This is an incredibly difficult time for all of us and I appreciate that everyone is under a lot of pressure and stress from so much social change and restrictions.

The formal notice to schools and places of education from Public Health England (PHE) to close was issued and consequently, government schools closed on Friday 20th March.

With the primary concern for our parents and students, we have followed government advice in the interests of public safety, to reduce any potential threat of spread of Covid-19 through our educational establishment Get Smart ( Est 1995).

Get Smart had to sadly cease delivering face to face in person tutoring lessons at the Get Smart Tuition Centre, 57a High street Barkingside Ilford Essex.

The centre temporarily ceased delivering face to face in person tutoring on Friday 20th March 2020. The temporary future will be online.

We at Get Smart are committed to continuing to educate students. We want to reassure those of you who are worried about ongoing tuition for your children, whilst the schools are closed, that we are dedicated and will continue to provide ongoing support for students and parents.

We have been working really hard to transition to online support.

The good news is that Get Smart now have systems in place which will enable us to offer lessons online. An online tuition lesson will be delivered with a Get Smart tutor (namely; Mr. & Mrs. Pindoria) and your child will have full access to the tutor and all the learning resources to effect the normal centre based lesson.

We have already successfully tested the online technology with over 15 students on the Zoom conferencing Platform, share screen facility, teaching worksheets and the Get Smart English and Maths programs with remote student access.

GET SMART NEXT STEPS…

  1. On Monday 23rd March there will be a LIVE ONLINE PARENTS MEETING via Zoom Conferencing at 7.00pm. The link to this meeting will be emailed to parents.
  2. Week beginning 23rd March the Get Smart Online Technology Tester sessions will be taking place for students. (15 minute sessions). The link will be sent to the parents email address.
  3. Get Smart will be in touch with every parent on an individual basis to arrange lesson times.
  4. Get Smart will commence delivering professional Online Tutoring lessons from Monday 23rd March.
  5. The technology requirement for receiving and enjoying Get smart tuition lessons is a laptop or PC or MAC with web-cam and audio facility.

If you should have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us on 020 8503 9272 or mobile 07745 315 736.

We would like to remind you that we are always here to support your educational questions and needs and please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours sincerely

Mr. and Mrs. Pindoria

What is professional online teacher?

With professional online tutoring your child will experience a live tutor but through the internet at home. Your child will be able to see, talk and interact with their tutor. We use Zoom video conferencing with specific tools using our interactive Get Smart Software. We use specific tools created for online such as the interactive white board, online chat board, sharing files facility and to be honest it may feel almost like a face to face session. The Get Smart software and study materials will be used for your child’s learning. We use the message board to make it feel just like a face to face session as we can chat and share homework. With Get Smart Online, the students use the same learning materials that would be used in a centre.

We help children to keep learning even when the schools are closed.

It’s so convenient and all you need is a computer, webcam, headset and a reliable internet connection.
